Course Objectives
- Identify the indications & contraindications for placing an esophageal balloon catheter.
- Learn how to safely place & confirm placement of the catheter.
- Use the catheter to perform static measurements of the lung correctly & be able to explain the data.
- Be able to make correct ventilator adjustments based on the balloon data.
