- Identify acute ventilatory failure, acute alveolar hyperventilation, & chronic ventilatory failure with arterial blood gas values.
- Differentiate acute vs. chronic arterial blood gas impairments.
- Identify acute changes superimposed on chronic ventilatory failure.
