When does my license expire?

Respiratory licenses expire on January 31 of odd-numbered years.

When can I renew my license?

At least 60 days prior to the expiration of a license, the DC Health Board of Respiratory Care (DCHBRC) will send a renewal application by first class mail to the holder’s address on file.

How do I renew my license?

Follow the instructions in the renewal application.

How many CEUs does the District of Columbia require?

You are required to complete 16 contact hours biennially, which shall include 2 hours of ethics and 2 hours of LGBTQ continuing education. No more than 8 hours shall be self-study.
